ON WHEELS LATIN AMERICA
On Wheels Latin America brings together artists, street vendors, and unusual characters who carry out their activities on wheels in public spaces. Filmed in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Cuba, the program highlights the creativity of these individuals, who add a distinctive touch to the urban landscapes of Latin America.
Among the participants are a sfirra vendor who parades along the beaches riding a scenic camel; a meticulous used-book seller who reads every book to determine a fair price based on each volume’s content; and a barrel organ player who performs accompanied by a trained parrot.
The series focuses exclusively on non-motorized vehicles—such as bicycles, carts, and self-propelled vehicles—that transform everyday activities with great creativity, without fixed schedules and without a boss. Both the series and the telefilm present stories, culture, examples of sustainability, and lessons in life and entrepreneurship.
